With a new school year comes new senior class officers, voted on by their peers to lead their graduating class for all the activities the year has to offer. This year’s officers and their advisers have promising goals, and are prepared to do their best to ensure a great last year for their class, while also leaving their mark on ROHS. The class officers are guided by advisers Ray McMann and Emily Wade, who provide support and encouragement along the way.
President: Dakota Kelly
Senior class president, Dakota Kelly, has the main responsibilities of being the liaison between the senior class and school administration and organizing merchandise. Kelly uses his communication skills to gain the most involvement from the Class of 2025. He is also a member of the varsity football team and the Class of 2025 representative on ROHS Stu-Co. “I like being able to help out all my classmates to have their most successful and memorable year at ROHS,” Kelly said. As the year builds, Kelly’s role as president will help him in capitalizing on opportunities that the senior class can take advantage of to build their events and have a celebratory prom to finish the year.
Vice President: Mary Coburn
Senior class vice president, Mary Coburn, has the responsibility of helping the other officers, overseeing any activities, and adjusting to the needs of the senior class. While being an officer, Coburn
is involved in ROHS Stu-Co, WOAK, NHS, girls varsity soccer, and yearbook.
“I enjoy being a leader and making everyone feel a part of the class of 2025,” Coburn said.
Aside from her role as vice president, as a senior in her last year at ROHS, Coburn is looking forward to making the most of the school year and making sure her peers are as well.
Secretary: Natalie Keveney
Senior class secretary, Natalie Keveney uses her organization skills to take notes, make agendas, and organize communications that go out to the senior class. Keveney is an Acorn Newsmagazine Editor in Chief and Interact Club President, as well as a member of NHS and Unified Bocce Ball. Above all, Keveney wants to make sure that the fun events that started this year continue until the end of it.
“It’s been super rewarding to see people liking the things that we do and wanting to be involved with us,” said Keveney, whose role as secretary contributes considerably to the smooth running of all activities throughout the year.
Treasurer: Nick Panzica
Senior class treasurer, Nick Panzica, has the sole responsibility of keeping track of the finances and budgeting for the senior class, and inputting everything into a spreadsheet. He uses his time
management skills and organization to also be a part of boys varsity baseball, NHS, and a cellist in Symphony Orchestra.
“It’s exciting to see all the seniors coming out to events for the summer and hopefully that continues into other events,” said Panzica, who plays a key role in ensuring that the senior class has
everything needed for fun events to happen.
Historian: Ani Ceccacci
Senior class historian, Ani Ceccacci, uses his passion for video production to document senior year, capturing key memories along the way. His main project at the end of the year will be the senior
class video. While documenting and editing senior year, Ceccacci is also a member of ROHS Stu-Co, Science NHS, Spikeball Club, WOAK, and soccer.
“I am excited for planning all the senior activities and being a part of the senior class in a more involved way,” Ceccacci said.
Throughout the year, Ceccacci will be at senior events to get students included in the senior video and capture all the memories their class will have from now until the last day of their senior year
Senior Class Co-Adviser: Ray McMann
Senior class adviser, Ray McMann, shares the responsibility with Emily Wade to advise the officers throughout this school year and bring forward a sense of guidance, giving them the key dates
throughout the year so the officers are able to manage decisions. McMann plays a role in ensuring that the officers learn the best ways to serve their senior class while creating lifelong memories and experiences. Getting input from the class of 2025 on the multiple decisions the offers make, McMann offers insight into deadlines and the process of making these decisions with the end goals in mind.
“I think every year the goal is to have the officers learn how to become independent problem solvers, while being able to collaborate on a singular goal,” said McMann.
Senior Class Co-Adviser: Emily Wade
One of the ROHS Senior Class Advisers, Emily Wade, communicates with veteran adviser Ray McMann and the officers, sharing the responsibilities of mediating senior activities and helping guide
the planning for events like graduation and senior reception. Wade is excited about her first year as an adviser, and hopes to ensure that the seniors have a memorable year, working together with the officers and McMann in all the decision-making they will do for their class.
“The goal would be that each event you attend is better than expected, and that you have more fun or make a memory you didn’t think you were going to make,” Wade said. “We want [the seniors] to have the best senior year they can.”
The officers and advisers are working hard to make sure all their goals come to fruition as the year progresses, and are currently working on selecting a venue for prom. As the year continues, every Raven will be able to witness all of the activities that are still in the making for a good final year of high school for the ROHS Class of 2025
