Life seems so much easier as a freshman. Or that’s what people think. Inside the minds of high schoolers can be a blur of events, stress, and social expectations, no matter what grade you’re in. Presley and Rousseau Mamo are siblings at ROHS. Presley is a senior and Rousseau is a freshman. Although it would be easy to assume that their lives are very different, there are also similarities when it comes to their days at ROHS.

freshman year?
A. I can drive. I used to play soccer, but I don’t anymore. I have
a harder workload than freshman year. My friends have changed

It is apparent that Presley and Rousseau have had many different
experiences these past couple of years. Presley has more
experience and knowledge to help her, whereas Rousseau has
more to learn and fewer experiences from which to gauge the
future. Even as a freshman, life isn’t always as easy as it seems.
You can still have hard classes and navigating high school can
be a challenge. Their levels of experience may differ, but Presley
and Rousseau still are in the same school and deal with some of
the same high school stressors. While high school can seem scary
as a freshman, that will change, and once senior year arrives, it
won’t seem so scary anymore.
