The Roost used to be a big part of the high schools culture but unfortunately due to covid it had to shut down for about three years. But now the roost is back and better than ever! They have kicked off this year with providing refreshments for senior sunrise and a halloween cookie decorating event. As well as new events they have all new officers who are super excited for this coming year.
President Maggie Lynch says, “I’m excited to get our name out there and establish a space that any club or organization can sign up to use.”
Along with new excitements bring new challenges, Junior Raneen Awada says the most challenging thing is “getting people to be involved in our events and getting more attention drawn to the roost in general”.
As of right now they are only open for events or for organizations to book. They can provide many tasty treats including coffee, hot chocolate, and snacks. Operations manager Haneen Awada says that she loves “fun and interactive” events and hope that more clubs will contact teacher advisor Sophie Bedford to make use of The Roost in the future.
