If you like a sweet lemonade try…
The Colonel’s Lemonade from KFC: KFC is one of my favorite places to get lemonade. While the recipe is nowhere to be found on the KFC website, the food chain makes its lemonade from scratch – a refreshing change from pre-packed/fountain lemonades that other food chains rely on. KFC’s lemonade is sweet, but classic, and it’s the perfect drink to beat the summer heat.
Strawberry Açaí Lemonade Refresher from Starbucks: Sweet strawberry and açaí flavors are the perfect fun twist on a classic drink. The inclusion of dried strawberries provides a delicious burst of flavor throughout the drink. While this drink is delightful on its own, try asking for peach juice for an even more fruity flavor!
If you like a sour lemonade try…
Lemonade from Condado Tacos in Downtown Royal Oak: Condado makes its lemonade fresh in house. If you enjoy making a pucker face after that first sip, I cannot recommend this drink enough! If you ever find yourself in Downtown Royal Oak at Arts, Beats, and Eats or at any other event, you will be much better off stopping by Condado and trying their lemonade as opposed to waiting in line at the lemonade stand for an overpriced drink.
Frozen Strawberry Lemonade from Panera: Panera combines its agave lemonade with fresh strawberries and ice to create a tasty, brain freezing beverage. Their lemonade is not as sour as Condado’s, but if you need to cool off quickly, this is the lemonade for you.
If you need a lemonade on the go try…
Calypso Lemonade: Calypso has a diverse collection of lemonades including: original, ocean blue lemonade, strawberry lemonade, southern peach lemonade, island wave lemonade, paradise punch lemonade, triple melon lemonade, kiwi lemonade, tropical mango lemonade, and tropic tango lemonade. Whether you’re hoping to be transported to a tropical island or to the southern heat, Calypso has the lemonade for you. Calypso also has sugar free versions of its original, ocean blue, strawberry, and southern peach varieties.
If you have an eclectic taste palette try…
Pickle Lemonade: Although the combination of pickles and lemonade may sound strange, it’s truly the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and tangy. To make pickle lemonade, add as much pickle juice as your heart desires into your lemonade. For a drink with a snack, try garnishing with a pickle and lemon slices.
